Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Support) in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves patrolling, monitoring access points, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents. You will support badge and access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour. Schedule includes DayTime shifts Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for authorized personnel and guests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while following established post orders and client-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
