Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed for a manufacturing and industrial site in Kennebunk, ME. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Schedule includes day and night shifts with a focus on safety and deterrence. This role offers flexible Part-Time hours, with a pay rate of $22.28 per hour, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, community-focused security team.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site procedures and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and document entries/exits.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional manner and notify relevant personnel.
• Prepare incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as directed, and document entries, exits, and required activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
