Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in West Point, VA. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and a program to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $16.00 per hour, with a path to broader experience across multiple sites. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old (21+ for armed roles), and a background check plus drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production areas, shipping and receiving locations, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, visitor and contractor access, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Verification in WEST POINT, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Sat: 02:00 AM - 10:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
