Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Vandalia, OH. The role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site‑specific security procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry/exit of personnel and vehicles, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security concerns.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications per Allied Universal and site requirements.

Job Schedule:

• Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulation and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
