Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers while enforcing site policies.
• Control access to the facility by verifying IDs, credentials, and approvals.
• Monitor entry/exit points and maintain access-control records.
• Respond calmly to alarms and incidents and escalate as needed.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Control access to the chemical and petrochemical facility by verifying identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate access-control records, issue and recover authorized credentials as directed, and report discrepancies through established procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
