Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Screening Driver in Sulphur, LA. You will oversee access control, monitor entry points, verify credentials, and assist with emergencies at a chemical and petrochemical site.

This role blends visible security with customer service to deter incidents and ensure safety. The position requires a valid driver’s license, specific experience levels, and the ability to pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience.
• Site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law; will be conducted.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures and site policies; assist with emergency response at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify IDs/credentials, deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Screen visitors, deliveries, and vehicles per post orders; log activities and report concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and solve problems; assist with alarms, access issues, evacuations, and communications with leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations; report security concerns.

Position Information

• Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour
• Must have 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience (C108)
• Must have Valid Driver's License

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, control rooms, and/or operational spaces.
• Screen visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with post orders, document activity in required logs, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, access issues, evacuations, and/or communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations to observe conditions and report security-related concerns, noting that working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
