Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers while enforcing site access control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, issue passes, and maintain access records.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, and deliveries per site procedures and report unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents following escalation and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, welcoming environment. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while helping deter incidents and reporting security-related concerns. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

• 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 04:00 PM - 04:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Screen personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with established site procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, business facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
