Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Customer Care in La Crescenta, CA to protect students, staff and visitors. You will patrol campus areas, deter incidents, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere with strong communication and customer service skills.

The role is full time with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour. Shift schedule runs Monday through Friday from 11:45 AM to 06:15 PM, in a school district environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at an educational campus.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or unauthorized individuals, and communicate observations to site personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
