Job Description

As a Security Officer Campus Ambassador in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Pay Rate: $20.69 / Hour

• Wed05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Thur05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

• Sat05:00 AM - 01:00 PM
• Sun05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residential areas, parking facilities, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift documentation while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
