Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology data center by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain logs per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document activities.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center interior, exterior, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to established procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations, while maintaining a professional presence in a high-availability technology environment.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
