Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, SC to protect facilities and people. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and provide courteous customer service while upholding site procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Background check required.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors and vendors, and documenting entries and departures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with calm, clear communication and escalate as needed.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations to leadership and site representatives.

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Wed: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Fri: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You\'ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by checking credentials, directing visitors and vendors, and documenting entries and departures in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.
