Job summary

Allied Universal in Stevenson, AL, is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control Driver to protect client sites in manufacturing and industrial locations. You will patrol, monitor entrances, assist visitors, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible, friendly presence.

This full-time, on-site role requires a valid driver’s license, preferred badge experience, and strong customer service. Training and growth opportunities are available as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license.

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation.
• Report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and other security-related issues to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
