Job summary

Allied Universal in Hamlin, TX is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Access Control Driver. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a secure, welcoming environment for clients across Tech/Media/Telecom sites.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, comfort with computers or tablets, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. DayTime shifts 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, full-time, $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
