Allied Universal is seeking an Security Officer Unarmed in Baytown, TX to protect client facilities across industries including Chemical/Petrochemical. You will patrol, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence while delivering professional service to staff and visitors.

Role requires a valid driver’s license, HS diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $14 per hour and daytime evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license in the state of employment.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and enforce site policies at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols and monitor access points and parking areas.
• Check credentials, log visitors, and follow entry procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Complete reports and incident documentation per policy.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in the job state. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas by checking credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following site entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Complete accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
