What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
- Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs accurately and promptly, while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
