Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time TWIC Patrol Driver in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and the possibility to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

You will provide customer service at a chemical and petrochemical site, perform patrols, monitor access, and respond calmly to incidents. A valid driver’s license, TWIC, and HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state of hire.
• TSA-issued TWIC card.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities and identify unusual conditions.

Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing individuals as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying designated site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security‑related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess a TSA‑issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential TWIC.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
