Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Inspection in Minooka, IL. This unarmed role focuses on patrolling a distribution facility, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will document security-related activity and respond to incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will also verify access, communicate with site leadership, and participate in routine and random patrols

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility to identify unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic; verify authorized access per site procedures.
• Document observations and patrol activity and communicate information to site leadership.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and vehicle traffic; verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
