Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer - Transportation Hub in Denver, CO. You will patrol transit facilities, monitor restricted areas, and provide exceptional customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff.

The role is full-time with a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $21.00 per hour. Prior security-related experience and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred, along with basic comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors and transit personnel by following security procedures and location policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms and parking areas to identify security concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and direct authorized personnel, visitors and contractors as needed.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate to appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Prepare clear reports regarding patrols, incidents and observations.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transportation Hubin Denver, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer in a public transportation setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to passengers, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with directing authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
