Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time, unarmed transit post in Denver, Colorado. You will patrol and monitor transit facilities, assist riders and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

This position includes on-site shifts and requires a proactive customer-service approach. The role emphasizes safeguarding clients across various industries and collaborating with transit personnel.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transit location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle staging areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe transit operations, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or transit representatives as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with passengers, coworkers, law enforcement, and transit personnel.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to riders, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
