As a Security Officer Patrol Route Specialist in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents. You will support access control functions, interact professionally with visitors and staff, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access activities, and emergency response actions when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly movement of people throughout the location.
• Support a professional environment by using verbal de‑escalation, communicating respectfully with diverse populations, and helping to address disruptive behavior in accordance with post orders and governmental location guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
