Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Transit Platform in Englewood, CO. You will patrol transit facilities, deter unauthorized activity, and assist riders with a visible, customer-focused stance.

Responsibilities include monitoring access points, reporting incidents, and maintaining professional communication with staff and public agencies. Prior security experience is valued; CPR and handcuffing certifications are preferred.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transit Platformin Englewood, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism. You will report observations, respond to situations according to site procedures, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, stations, parking areas, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, public areas, and transit operations for suspicious activity, unauthorized entry, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts, supervisors, and public agency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or a baton is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
