Job summary

Allied Universal, Denver, CO, is seeking a Security Officer Training Facility to support transportation sites and safeguarding clients. Pay rate is $22.00 per hour with a full-time schedule in the listed shifts.

You will monitor areas, greet travelers, staff and visitors, and apply security procedures while maintaining a welcoming environment. Responsibilities include patrolling terminal areas, reporting incidents, coordinating with responders, and enforcing access-control policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 02:30 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, access points, parking facilities, baggage areas, and the surrounding perimeter, as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards, and report observations through established communication channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public emergency responders when needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a professional presence and following access-control and visitor-management procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
