Job summary

Allied Universal in Denver, CO is seeking a Security Officer Exterior Patrol to monitor and protect retail locations and other sites. The position is full-time and pays $30.00 per hour with a schedule from Mon-Sun 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

You will provide customer service, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and document activities following site procedures. The role requires background and security experience and a valid guard card or license where required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter theft and policy violations.
• Document incidents and communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the building perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
