This full-time position pays $21.00 per hour. Schedule includes weekday evenings through early mornings; candidates should have at least one year of security experience, a high school

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Possess a guard card or license (preferred).
• Possess a handcuffing certification (preferred).
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and service disruptions in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular patrols of transit platforms, stations, parking areas, and buildings to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations.
• Document observations and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government transit location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist passengers, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Tue 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Wed 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Thur 06:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Fri 05:30 PM - 01:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit platforms, stations, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout assigned transit locations, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Possess a handcuffing certification, preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
