Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff while enforcing site policies and emergency procedures.

Role features fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing flexible hours. A DoD Secret Clearance and a high school diploma are required, with background checks and drug screening as standard procedures.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site contacts and leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Clearance Patrol Response in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
