Job summary

Allied Universal in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time with active DoD Secret Clearance to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a designated site. You will perform security procedures, respond to incidents, and maintain daily activity reports.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply. May require a driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site‑specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Security Clearance Patrol Response in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.51 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
