Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Escort in Philadelphia, PA. You will serve and safeguard clients across campuses, maintaining a visible presence, patrolling buildings, and supporting access control while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following campus protocols and request additional support when needed.
• Control access to assigned locations by verifying entry, monitoring visitor activity, and reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents and patrol observations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and requesting additional support when needed.
• Control access to assigned locations by verifying authorized entry, monitoring visitor activity, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
