Allied Universal® in Culver City, CA is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Enhanced to join our team. This role provides reliable, fixed hours with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on experience in a technology-focused work environment.

Pay rate is $21.00 per hour with a schedule that includes evenings (Mon and Thur 2:30 PM – 7:15 PM).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors by enforcing site policies and security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly following site protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of campus buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization per site procedures.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, communicating findings to site leadership.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
