Job summary

Allied Universal in Richmond is seeking a full-time security officer to protect people and property at a technology-focused location. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while enforcing site policies and responding to emergencies.

You will conduct regular patrols of offices and parking areas, monitor access, verify credentials, and document incidents in required logs. The role emphasizes calm problem-solving and strict adherence to escalation procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking facilities, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and notification protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns in required reports and logs.
