Security Officer Position Summary

Security Officers play a vital role in ensuring a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring the premises, conducting regular and random patrols, and responding to incidents calmly and effectively. They provide customer service by executing safety procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and managing emergency responses. Officers are responsible for staffing the Gatehouse during their shifts, screening visitors, and assisting with access control and visitor management.

Security Officer Job Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members
  • Empathetic, energetic, and able to work with a diverse senior population
  • Successful completion of Level I and Level II Background Checks and Drug Screening
