Job summary

The Setai in Miami Beach is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team. This role offers a start rate of $20 per hour and involves safeguarding guests, associates, and vendors across a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities include assisting in security programs, patrolling the hotel, and enforcing safety procedures. CPR/First Aid certification and a Florida security license are required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Three (3) years' experience as a Security Officer in a multi-unit luxury property, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are currently looking for an experienced Security Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities

Assist in all hotel security and safety-related programs. Perform protective, preventative, safety, and security-related enforcement functions touring hotel complex to ensure the safety and well-being of all hotel guests, associates, and vendors.

ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of safety and security equipment, utensils and procedures
• Knowledge and skill in how to diffuse potentially difficultsituations.
• Able to work varied shifts and flexibleschedules.
• Advance skill using computer, surveillance and communicationsystems.
• Excellent guest and employee relations skills.
• Reputation for handling situations and confidential information discretely, projecting a positive, professional and supportive outward image and exercising good judgment for the position.
• Strong familiarity with how to effectively deal with situations involving the use of alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, andweapons.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a teamenvironment.
• Compliance with uniform, appearance and attendance guidelines as outlined in The Setai Employee Handbook
• Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days ofhire.
• Valid Florida Security license.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma required AND three (3) years' experienceas a Security Officer in a multi-unit luxury property,OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with high profile and high net worth individuals is a plus.
