Allied Universal in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol utilities facilities, deter incidents, and deliver courteous service to employees and visitors. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, and notify appropriate personnel while documenting observations and actions.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related activities.

Pay Rate: $21.88 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
