Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal considers applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law; Licensing may be required per state/local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies, and assist with emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally; escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and vehicle activity; document unusual conditions and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications per Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Perimeter Review in Winthrop, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.38 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Monitor access points and observe visitor and vehicle activity, documenting unusual conditions and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
