Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Response in Winthrop, ME to monitor and protect a retail distribution location. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering professional service to employees and visitors.

This role offers an overnight shift schedule (Tue–Thu 10:00 PM–6:00 AM), a pay rate of $22.28 per hour, and access to our shift-claiming platform to build a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and security-related procedures at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe movement of staff and visitors per site procedures.
• Document incidents and communicate information to supervision and site contacts.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and observe the movement of employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
