Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security provider, seeks a Security Officer for Shopping Center Mobile Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will safeguard clients at commercial real estate sites, carry out routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will respond to alarms, support tenants and visitors, and deliver excellent customer service while adhering to site procedures. This is a full-time role with a steady daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required in some locations.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management staff per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized activity or maintenance concerns.
• Complete activity reports and incident documentation per site requirements.

As a Security Officer Shopping Center Mobile Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms, and support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized activity, property damage, maintenance concerns, and other security‑related observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
