Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for Security Operations in Woonsocket, RI. The role focuses on protecting clients in healthcare and other settings while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

You will monitor areas, respond to incidents, and conduct routine patrols with a professional, team‑oriented approach. The position is full time with a consistent morning shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors and staff following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations calmly and according to healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the location including entrances, parking areas and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity and report unauthorized access.
• Complete incident reports and logs according to site procedures.

Pay Rate: $17.01 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the healthcare location, including business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directing individuals and reporting unauthorized access or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
