Job summary

Allied Universal in Ottawa, IL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect clients at a food production site. You will monitor facilities, patrol grounds, control access, and deliver courteous service.

The role offers weekend evening shifts Fri–Sun 2:00 PM–10:00 PM and pay of $18.25 per hour. Minimum requirements include 18+ and a high school diploma; background check and drug screen apply.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related events, and other assigned duties.

• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
