Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for our Indianapolis, IN location. This role offers flexible hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $17.22 per hour. Responsibilities include screening employees, visitors, packages, and property, plus responding to incidents and maintaining security at a logistics site. This position supports part-time schedules with potential path to full-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the facility per procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and inspect parcels, shipments, and personal belongings; report anomalies to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas and document observations and incidents.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Records in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established procedures and applicable requirements.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections of parcels, shipments, and personal belongings as assigned; report prohibited items or irregularities to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, and the facility perimeter; document observations and security-related incidents accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
