Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Screening Access in Pooler, GA to screen people and materials, monitor access points, and uphold security procedures at a logistics location.

You will deliver customer service to drivers and visitors, maintain a professional presence, and report security concerns to leadership. Prior security experience and a HS diploma are common requirements with preferred certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing may be required; valid driver’s license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors and personnel at a logistics location.
• Screen personnel, visitors and items entering/exiting per access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, shipping/receiving areas and screening equipment; report issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies following procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.24 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized items entering and exiting the facility in accordance with established access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and screening equipment; report unusual activity, prohibited items, and policy violations to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
