Job summary

Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to support the Medical Center Administration in its protection program and to maintain a safe environment that supports quality patient care. This role requires NYS regulatory training, including the Eight Hour Pre-assignment and Sixteen Hour On-The-Job Training, with Security Guard Registry registration.

A valid driver’s license and BLS certification are required, with possible weekend/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent; NYS Eight Hour Pre-assignment Training required.
• New York State Sixteen Hour On-The-Job Training and NYS Security Guard License highly preferred.
• Must be registered with the Security Guard Registry in Albany.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Medical Center Administration in its protection program and provides a safe and secure environment that supports quality patient care.
• Enforces all established Medical Center and Safety and Security policies to safeguard personnel and facilities.
