Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Roving Patrol in Portland, TX. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining visibility and reporting security concerns.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $15.60 per hour. Schedule includes DayTimeMon 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM and Tue 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM. Background check and license requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement includes a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeters, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and assist with visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following emergency protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity and assist with visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
