Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driving Route Inspection in Seattle, WA. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, deter incidents, monitor access and respond to security concerns while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $23.74 per hour. Typical shifts run daytime through evenings, creating opportunities to engage with retailers and protect people and property.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and drive as part of duties.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet for reporting.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check required and drug screening as allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including customer areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, while reporting unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and help maintain an orderly environment for customers, employees, deliveries, and vendors.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
