Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Newark, NJ. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $30.30 per hour. The position supports a flexible schedule with anchor shifts and optional extra shifts across sites.

Qualifications

• Must have Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees at a financial institution.
• Conduct armed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare activity logs and incident reports for site leadership and Allied Universal.

As a Security Officer in Newark, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $30.30 / Hour

DayTimeSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate security‑related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Must be Retired or current law enforcement or corrections officer.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
