Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols - Morning Shift in Troy, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail and mall environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols contribute to a secure environment, while your strong communication and customer service skills support positive interactions. You will remain visible throughout the location, respond to incidents as needed, and uphold our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 AM - 08:00 PMSun11:30 AM - 06:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual circumstances.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and other unwanted behaviors within the retail environment.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
