As a **Security Officer - Retail Patrol** in **CENTRAL VALLEY, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a retail or mall environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and staff. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and acting with integrity while supporting a positive environment at the location.

**Position Type: Part Time**

**Pay Rate: $18.68 / Hour**

Mon04:00 PM - 08:00 PM

Tue04:00 PM - 08:00 PM

Wed04:00 PM - 08:00 PM

Fri04:00 PM - 09:00 PM

**Responsibilities:**

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity or security-related incidents.

+ Assist in helping to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail environment.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.

+ Collaborate with store staff and management to address concerns and maintain a welcoming environment for customers.

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ New York Security Guard Registration (Guard Card) is preferred.

+ A valid guard card or security license is preferred.

+ Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
