Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Retail Observant in Bridgeport, CT. As a Part-Time Security Officer at a retail location, you will patrol, provide customer service, and help deter security incidents while following site procedures.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted in line with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state or local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help support loss‑prevention efforts and maintain orderly conditions.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
