Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Bridgeport, CT. You will monitor and patrol retail locations, deter incidents, assist customers and staff, and maintain a welcoming environment while upholding site policies.

This role offers a flexible schedule via our Claim a Shift platform. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and at least one year of security experience; background check and drug screen

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail location and adjacent areas to identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to support loss-prevention and orderly conditions.
• Complete accurate reports and incident documentation per site procedures.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help support loss-prevention efforts and maintain orderly conditions.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
