Job summary

Allied Universal in Stamford, CT, is seeking a Part-time Security Officer Retail Monitor to protect tenants and visitors across a busy retail environment. You will patrol, provide assistance, and uphold security procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.

As a part-time role with evenings and weekends options, you will use smart tools to claim shifts, report incidents, and coordinate with management and local responders as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensing requirements depend on state regulations.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols in the retail center and parking facilities to identify issues.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and direct visitors while reporting maintenance or security concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate with site management and local authorities.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, tenants, and staff with exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly, report observations, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

Job Schedule:

• Fri 10:00 PM - 02:00 AM
• Sat 10:00 PM - 02:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeter, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and assist with directing visitors, providing information, and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site management, Allied Universal leadership, and/or local law enforcement as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
