Job summary

Allied Universal, Stamford, CT, is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Retail Mobile Patrolling. You will serve clients, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while patrolling the retail center and mall surroundings.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, HS diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screen where permitted by law. Shifts include Thur 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, with pay of $18.94 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ages 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas and entrances.
• Report observed hazards, unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, directions, and communication with mall personnel, tenants, and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Report observed hazards, unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, directions, and communication with mall personnel, tenants, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
