Allied Universal in Stockton, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to patrol retail and mall locations, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to shoppers, tenants, and staff.

This roving, driver-based post requires a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, with a schedule that fits a part-time arrangement. Pay rate is $20.34 per hour, plus opportunities for training, career growth, and exclusive perks through our Perks Program.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, storefronts, parking and exterior grounds to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity, and report concerns per site procedures.
• Document incidents and patrol activities accurately while remaining courteous.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and report suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and professionally while maintaining a courteous presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
